Ever wondered how the Hank the Cowdog audiobooks are made? Well, here’s a look behind the scenes of the recording session for the songs from Hank #60, “The Big Question”!

Pictures to the left were taken in the studio: Mark Erickson, Carlos Casso, and Erik Chapman.

The songs being recorded are "'Maters and Taters" and "Christmas Cookies." 

Mark Erickson, an attorney by day (and son of John and Kris), played guitar, harmonica, and (!!) sleigh bells on the songs.

Erik Chapman played fiddle.  When he's not noodling around with Hank songs, Erik plays violin with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London.  He played these numbers on a Guarneri, del Gesù violin made in 1742. 

Carlos owns the Audio Refinery and has produced the Hank audios since he was a college intern in 1982.
